Hi, I’m Desiree Werland, an outdoor-only natural light photographer based in Helotes, San Antonio.

I believe the most beautiful portraits happen when you feel completely relaxed, seen, and free to be yourself. That’s why I only photograph outdoors in soft, natural light under our big Texas sky — because this is where real joy, connection, and personality come alive. No stiff studio poses, no pressure. Just genuine moments with the people (and dogs!) you love most.

I created these sessions so you can celebrate life’s meaningful milestones in a way that feels authentic and joyful: whether it’s graduating, getting engaged, welcoming a new baby, or simply marking a season of change with your family and furry friends by your side. Dogs are always welcome because they’re part of your story too.
